Time to Deco(c)rate

Charmed Archway & Fence set by Raven Wood (LI13 & 2ea)

So, after the success of the SwagBagsMadPea have released another mystery crate. It’s the same price as the SwagBag (L$1,500 before release, L$3,000 after release) and it’s filled with great stuff from some of SL’s Top Designers.

This month’s theme was “November Rain” and the designers really ran away with the theme, designing everything from gazebos and umbrellas to set pieces and furniture to cuddle up and watch the rain through the window from. They’re all absolutely beautiful, however – one word of warning, quite a few of them will eat up your extra prim allowance that LL have provided us with!

Anyway, let’s get some links to the designers:

SwagBag November

So, the November SwagBag came out a few days ago and I completely forgot to open it. I rather like this one, it’s not my usual type of purchase, but it works really well with the new look that I’m giving to the Ethan Explores site.(SLURL)

The building is the Dark Corporation Boardwalk Shop, but everything else is from this month’s SwagBag. The theme for this month was Man Cave (and I think that you’ll understand why it’s not my usual thing). And there wasn’t much clothing in the box.

There was however a fantastic selection of décor from some really big names (you’ll see who in a second!) And I must admit, although I loved the others, I think I’m going to get more use out of this one than any of the others. The items aren’t just beautiful, they have some fantastic poses attached to them, not just the usual sitting, there’s a lot of longing available in this set! But first, let’s get the pictures:

Drot – Harvest Hair, Breath – Man cave knit shirt, Etham – Lazy Days Pants, 22769 [Bauwerk] Mancave Lounger chair & sidetable,  Thor Mancave set with fridge, sofa, coffee table and more, and last but not least, Pewpew! Bat Bed and Flag.

Hallowe’en Horror Story

halloween-horror-story_002MadPeas, the people who run the fantastic SwagBags and the Ghost Town made a little mini-game for Hallowe’en. And I have to tell you that it was really creepy. In particular the Children’s Bedroom scene (put your headphones on and make sure that you have the sound turned up) and the Bathroom with it’s surprise the genuinely had me squeak in shock!

It’s a really well made game, with beautiful scenes, fantastically laid out. You need to join the MadPea group – but believe me that’s worth a group slot. The chat alone is fun, friendly, irreverent and welcoming. You then pick up a HUD at the starting point which asks you a question at the start of each scene, this is to help decide what type of Hallowe’en Trope you are.

You’re looking for something that’s out of place in all the settings (apart from the Psych Ward – which is just sneaky!) The only clue I’ll give you is that I haven’t seen a TV anywhere apart from on the Psych Ward…

Anyway, you’ll be wanting some pics, so here you go!

And for anyone who’s interested, I came out as a Nerdy Geek, so of course, I had to dress appropriately!

Take A Chance

swagbag-sep_002I used to be subscribed to MyGeekbox, and used to enjoy the anticipation. Wondering what I was going to receive, it was like a birthday each month – excited about the “present” and looking to find out what I was going to get. But it started to become a little stale recently, with more DC and console game memorabilia and less Doctor Who and Marvel. So I’ve stopped it.

Just in time, MadPea (the people who brought us games like the Ghost Town, the Interview, UNIA, and even more games than you can shake a stick at – like the new Inca Treasure Hunt) have brought out a Second Life version especially for men! The new SwagBag might feel a little pricey at L$1500/month. But when you look at the quality and names in there it’s absolutely worth it!
